The Fitters’ Palace. 2016 (Palace of Tokyo). Each exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo is built with the complicity and commitment of a group of people – often unknown to the general public – who we call “the editors”. They are the ones who manufacture, assemble and finally bring to life in the spaces of the Palais de Tokyo the most daring projects designed by the artists. Many of its editors are also artists. The Palais de Tokyo has decided to entrust them with more than 1,500 m² so that, in their turn, as artists, craftsmen or creators, they can take over this place that they know so well in their own way. “Le Palais des Monteurs” is more than an exhibition, it is a living testimony, a hybrid, generous form, endowed with a singular energy which allows us both to discover and make known new practices, but also to salute and thank those who, every day, make the Palais de Tokyo a Palace for artists.
