Biography

After studying at the École des Beaux-Arts in Nancy and then at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, he taught at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg where, in 1973, he created the Atelier d'illustration in which it trains illustrators in the publishing, press and audiovisual image professions.

Claude Lapointe has collaborated in several magazines, in particular at Bayard Jeunesse, Pilote, Lire, Expansion, Le Monde de l'Education, L'Alsace… and regularly exhibits his work as a painter.

He is attentive to the play that the image develops with the words. It is a constantly reinvented complex report that will attempt to identify ideas, feelings, eccentricity, and the seriousness of life. And this relationship is ceaselessly confused, diverted, accepted, denied by the one who stops and enters the image and the words.
