Born in 1978, Claude Houchat, founder of the Allezgo Store’s gallery, has always gravitated around the urban culture.
It’s in the 90’s, with the emergence of the Rap first then the graffiti, that Claude Houchat starts its career. He begins by organizing urban parties in Paris, where break beat, dancer and DJ meet !
We could came across artists such as Poska, Dj Xela, Dj Maze or Fantastik Armada that became very quickly regulars.
In 1998, he launches with some friends, a music label that allows them to highlight new artists, coming from the Paris urban scene and elsewhere. Still very established in the underground Street Culture, he get close to numerous graffiti artists in order to create the jacket of his discs.
The occasion then for this passionate to combine music and visual art.
In 2017, to celebrate the 20 years anniversary of his music label « Allezgo Productions », he decided to create, in his new hometown (Montpellier), Allezgo Store, a gallery dedicated to urban culture. From graffiti to photography, sticking or even sculpture, the leitmotiv stays his first love: the Street Art.
More than just an exhibition place, Allezgo Store has vocation to help public to understand this “counter culture” and create therefore a bridge between artist and visitors. With a real desire of promoting talentuous artists confirmed or emerging, the gallery welcome every month a brand new one
