Entering the world of Dirk De Keyzer is a bit like sitting at a table on a terrace to “watch the people” go by. We follow a pretty woman with rebellious hair, when the eye lingers on the eccentric gait of an atypical man or a silhouette full of mystery... It's no longer the people we look at, it's the spectacle of life that we witness, amused and moved at the same time. De Keyzer's sculptures are a little merry-go-round, a colorful carousel that never stops turning. Men and women with slender bodies cross paths and intertwine, giving birth to real little stories. Believe it or not, it is said that late at night, away from prying eyes, the sculptures come to life, talk to each other, to court each other or simply play together. At daybreak, they return to their place… until the following night.
