Luke Fontana is an internationally renowned historic New Orleans jazz photographer, abstract artist, lawyer, producer, and environmental activist, currently residing in the historic Marigny Suburb of New Orleans and the Rockies, on the beach of Gore Creek mtn White River National Forest Vail Colorado.

Mr. Fontana describes himself as a mix between Paul Strand and Walker Evans with the taste of Henri Cartier Bresson.

Luke Fontana received a photography fellowship from the National Endowment of Arts, Washington DC to document black people in the rural south in the early 1970s.

Lucca titled his first work: "VALLEY OF THE PECAN GATHERERS"

Luke Fontana considers this first project funded by a National Endowment of Arts Photographic Fellowship as his best work.

Indeed, the artist's enhanced photograph of Luke Fontana on canvas of his "Valley of the Pecan Pickers" is now seen and sold internationally on the French site Artsper. In addition, many of his original New Orleans Jazz works of art are presented internationally.

After 3 years photographing the majestic spectral beauty of the Gore Creek White Mountain National Forest mountain range, Luke Fontana is ready to pursue a Vail, Colorado Gallery.

Luke "Lucca" Fontana announced three days ago his candidacy for the post of member of the New Orleans city council to remove the incumbent Kristin Palmer District A.

Mr. Fontana's main campaign platform: "OPEN THE DOME"

On October 13, 2020, Mr. Fontana announced his campaign on 13 different platforms.

M., Fontana was a featured photographer at the 2017 New Orleans PhotoNOLA exhibition.

Its photographic promotion is presented on 72,000 brochures of the 2017 edition of NOPSI Hotel-New Orleans.

Mr. Fontana's extensive body of work has been well received at the New Orleans Auction Art Gallery.

Recognized as a New Orleans jazz photographer, specializing in black and white silver gelatin images of NOLA culture and rural Louisiana communities.

Luke Fontana's photographs were selected from the permanent collection of the Louisiana State Museum Jazz Collection & The Historic New Orleans Collection.
