Biography
Vianney, a French painter born in 1962, was involved in art from a very young age, dreaming of painting and colors.
After spending a few months at an art school, which Vianney likes to say he ran away from. The artist prefers to travel. As soon as possible, he sets off to visit the greatest museums in Europe and the world, always with a sketchbook in his pocket. It is by studying and observing the works of the great masters of classical and modern painting that Vianney learns to nourish and create a true universe through his works.
His first exhibitions took place in the early 1990s, taking him to Japan, a country that deeply moved him and for which he developed a true passion for culture, decorative arts, architecture, and design. His unique style stems from his many experiences and various travels. Vianney does not fail to recall these in many of his works.
Vianney's works today offer us luminous interiors with subtle color work. His apartments with large bay windows present a dreamlike setting that delights viewers. His paintings feature views of London, Paris, New York, Venice, and Florence, among others. The interiors always remain devoid of human presence; they are silent and calm spaces. Cities, too, appear empty, a contrast to the noisy and populated image we have of them. It is thanks to this emptiness and silence that his works have a calming effect.
Vianney is a resolutely modern painter whose work harmoniously unites classical architecture with contemporary lines. His work is a happy bridge between past and present, blending nostalgia and romanticism.
Today, he is an emerging artist in the European contemporary art market. Through the simplicity and quality of his work, Vianney is a promising artist in his field.
