Galerie Laurent Godin

Galerie Laurent Godin was founded in 2005 in the heart of Le Marais in Paris, one block from the Centre Pompidou.

In September 2017, the gallery moved to a new space of 500 square meters in the south-east of Paris. This new location is a tool for fresh perspectives: as an outstanding peripheral space from the city center, it is an invitation to take time to re-think our relation to the art works and the exhibitions, out of the “classical gallery tracks”. By its scale, this location is also well adapted to promote and develop ambitious exhibitions for our artists, allowing them to expand their proposal and projects to a more convincing and articulated level.

The gallery program focuses on both emerging and established scenes. Representing more than twenty artists working with different media, the gallery opens a discussion on the evolution of contemporary art, with a particular attention to practices dealing with politics and socio-cultural contents.

Acclaimed solo shows by Peter Buggenhout, Gonzalo Lebrija, Haim Steinbach, Mika Rottenberg, Alan Vega – among others - have been held in the gallery space. But the gallery has also welcomed numerous group shows, inviting renowned international artists such as Eugène Leroy, Hans Josephson, John Armleder, Francis Picabia…

Galerie Laurent Godin takes part to the most important international art fairs such as Art Basel Miami, Fiac Paris, The Armory Show NYC, Art Cologne, Zona Maco Mexico…
